Comfortable Bedding

I had an incredible sleep in the room at Casa Seibel! The beds were comfy with plenty of warm blankets provided, which was perfect as the nights in Xela can get pretty chilly. I appreciated the wooden window shutters that blocked out all light, allowing for a restful night's sleep. It felt cozy and inviting, just like a home away from home.

Asian Restaurant Perk

What a delightful surprise to find an amazing Asian restaurant right across the street from Casa Seibel! I enjoyed having cheap and healthy meals there and the free drink offer for hostel guests was an added bonus. The portions were generous, and it quickly became a favorite spot for my lunches and dinners.

Basic, Functional Showers

The showers at Casa Seibel were basic but functional. I had reasonable warm water during my stay, and it was always nice to freshen up after a day of exploring. Although the showers could use a little improvement, it was fine for my needs.

Casa Seibel offers a cozy atmosphere in a very central location. The staff is incredibly helpful and engaging, which definitely enhanced my experience. The courtyard is a great spot to relax and connect with fellow travelers. However, the showers can be a bit unreliable. Overall, I had a great time here, especially with the arranged trek to the Tajumulco Volcano.

I had a wonderful stay at the hostel, which had a cool vibe and well-maintained common areas with a refreshing atmosphere. The staff was super helpful and welcoming, making my experience even better. While the rooms were a bit outdated and dark, they were still comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. Overall, it's a fantastic place for budget travelers, although keep in mind there are no attached bathrooms in the rooms.
